UNIFEM Finland is the National Committee for UNIFEM in Finland.
Its objective is to support the United Nations Development Fund for Women UNIFEM in promoting women's status, human rights, participation and leadership. The National Committee supports these goals by raising funds targeted to a chosen UNIFEM project. Since 2004 the Committee raised funds for the women's development centers of UNIFEM in Afghanistan.

The Committee also organizes informative briefings, discussions and seminars and visits schools and educational insititutes to draw attention to women's development issues worldwide. Moreover, the Committee provides expert opinions and aims to influence Finnish desicion-makers for the comprehensive inclusion of gender-awareness specifically in the field of development co-operation as well as in politics and the society in general.
